Becca Allen, LPC, NCC, is the Center for Dialectical and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy’s intake coordinator and adolescent program director. Becca specializes in personality disorders, treatment resistant disorders and eating disorders.
Becca was introduced to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) during a graduate student internship with the Eating Recovery Center in San Antonio. This internship inspired her to do more work with eating disorders while continuing her training in DBT.
She received her Masters of Science in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Becca completed her 3000 hour post graduate LPC-Internship at Center for Dialectical and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, where she worked with adults and adolescents in group, family and individual counseling.
Becca has has been intensively trained by creator Tom Lynch, PhD in Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO DBT). She has also completed her intensive training from Behavioral Tech in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She is currently working on her certification to become a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS).
Becca is a member of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP). She is currently on the board of the San Antonio Chapter as the treasurer.
