Becca was first introduced to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) during a graduate student internship with the Eating Recovery Center in San Antonio. This internship inspired her to do more work with eating disorders while continuing her education in DBT. She received her Masters of Science in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from the CACREP accredited program at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Becca completed her 3000 hour post graduate LPC-Internship at Center for Dialectical and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, where she worked with adults and adolescents in group, family and individual counseling. Becca continues to run the adolescent skills training program at CDCBT. She has has been intensively trained by Tom Lynch, PhD in Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO DBT) and is currently working on her certification to become a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS).
