Christina Wright, LCSW, LCDC

Christina Wright, LCSW, LCDC received her bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fullerton in Psychology. She attended New York University where she received her master’s degree in Social Work in 2011. During her master’s internship, she had the opportunity to lead a variety of groups, including co-facilitating a DBT skills group in an outpatient facility. This is where she first saw the benefits of DBT.

After graduating she moved to North Carolina where she worked primarily with children, adolescents, and families in public schools and outpatient settings. In 2016 Christina moved to Sydney, Australia and became an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. She worked in an outpatient drug and alcohol program for the local hospital and co-facilitated a DBT skills group for people with substance misuse. Her passion for DBT grew as she saw how helpful the DBT skills were for the participants and how utilizing the skills significantly changed their lives. In June of 2020 Christina relocated to Texas.

Christina has completed her training in DBT with Behavioral Tech. She also has training in CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma focused therapies. She is a certified SMART Recovery facilitator and recently became a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) in Texas. Christina has experience with individuals of all ages, families, couples and groups in outpatient settings.
