Kimberly Knopf earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Rice University in 2016. She double-majored in psychology and sport management while completing four years as a student-athlete on the Rice University volleyball team.
Following two years in the private sector, Kimberly’s passion for mental health led her to pursue further education at St. Mary’s University, where she earned a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. She completed internships at the Eating Recovery Center in San Antonio, TX, and the Transitional Care Clinic, where she honed her skills in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Crisis Response Planning (CRP), and suicide risk assessment.
Kimberly is intensively trained by Behavioral Tech in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She is currently undergoing intensive training in RODBT and pursuing certification as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS). She has a special interest in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). Additionally, Kimberly enjoys working with athletes, drawing from her personal experience in the world of sports to enhance her therapeutic approach.
