RO DBT Support Persons Class

Our RO DBT support persons class is designed to help the family and support systems of individuals enrolled in Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO DBT) learn and implement the RO DBT skills in their lives.

In the class, members will learn about overcontrolled coping and identify where it impacts their loved one. Members will learn the skills in a similar format to a typical skills class, using lecture, discussion and practice. The goal is to be able to put into practice what is expected of their loved ones. Additionally, members will begin to transition their lives to be “radically open.”

The typical course of the class is 16 weeks. Content is broken up into 4 main sections:

  1. Social safety activation
  2. Mindful living
  3. Social connection
  4. Freedom from past hurts

The RO DBT Support Persons Class meets remotely on Thursdays from 1:00 – 2:15 pm. The cost of each class is $65 per family (which includes 2 attendees). This class is a psychoeducation course aimed to help support your loved ones as they work on their own journey through the RO program. As a result interested parties must commit to the entirety of the course prior to beginning the course. Each week class members will be charged regardless of attendance for the 15 weeks of the course. If you’re interested in joining the class, please message us via email at info@sanantoniodbtcbt.com or call or text us at 210-906-8428!
